What interested me in this kettle is the top bail handle. Only the Cuisinart cordless kettle has the same arrangement and it is way more money. Most others have side handles which makes it hard for those with carpal tunnel or arthritis to deal with when filled.Boils quickly, especially if you fill it with a few cups of water for coffee/tea/etc. Although a tad noisy (all stainless kettles are), the auto shutoff is nice feature.The lit side switch pokes out and is a little curious. Given that decent carafes cost this much and more makes this a great addition to the kitchen.
